With Valentines Day around the corner, I wanted to take time to look at what Love is really all about. No better way than to look to the scriptures. Jesus is our greatest example. He died on the cross for our sins. Here is a little poem I wrote from the scriptures –1 Corinthians Chapter 13.

Charity envieth not, but suffers long.
Charity is not easily provoked, for its heart is strong.
Love cares not for itself, but one another.
God in Heaven loves you like no other.
Out of faith, hope and love, the greastest is love.
True love comes from the father up above.
Compassion and giving is what love is made of.
Love is kind, for God himself is love.
Love does not seek things for its own,
but rejoices in the truth and not what is wrong.
Love cares for others and pride is nowhere in sight.
Love bears all things, hopes and endures all things right.
Love is patient, love is kind,
love is giving of your heart and mind.
Love is the greatest thing to possess,
for God wants only our very best.
Many seem to forget that everything we do today should be for the honor and glory of our holy Father and his son Jesus Christ. Do you remember when you received Christ as your Lord and Savior? Do you remember the joy that you felt inside and the love you felt for him and for others. Well we need to get back to our first love, Jesus. Jesus should be our first love above all else. We should give him all our honor and praise, which he richly deserves.
With things going on around us we seem to lose focus on what really matters in life. What matter to you the most? Does Jesus matter to you more than family, friends, wealth or riches?
