We should never forget our purpose in this life. It is not to obtain great riches nor to further our wisdom with much learning. 2 Timothy 3:7 reminds me of something, what some may be seeking after. Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Some want to be highlly educated in this life. They go to college their whole life but miss the real purpose of life. This life isn’t about great riches or great understanding. To have great knowledge in this life but to miss Salvation is truly sad. We all were born with a purpose. Some may have been born with different gifts such as playing a piano or working with numbers, but we all have but one purpose. That is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ to this world.
Look around! Knowledge of this world is not helping the world become a better place. I see some of the most educated people be ignorant of the simplest matters. There are those in politics that should be able to help our country but instead they are tearing our foundation apart. They are seeking after their own selfish goals. They don’t seem to care about the average man or poor man. They don’t care about lowering taxes or making a life easier to live on this earth. Sorry but some of the most educated men in this life are the most ignorant. Why do I say this? Because the more they seek after their own life of luxury or their own goals, the more they turn from God. I’m not saying that a man can’t get a good education. I’m saying that one should always keep God first in their life. Remember your purpose in this life!
Have you ever noticed why the days are becoming shorter. People are so busy with their lives that they don’t have time to slow down and acknowledge God. So I ask you to take time to pray; take time to ponder this: what God would have for your life. Take time to share the good news: that Jesus saves. Jesus can help men live a life of happiness and peace.
