Today everybody seems to be going on with their busy lives and neglect worshiping God.  We think we are self-sufficient, have everything we need in life, and have all the comforts of life.  We work full time jobs, have busy lives and continue on with our lives  until something happens which bring us to a dead stop.  Perhaps we come down with an illness or lose our jobs.  Perhaps our house burns down or we fall and break a bone. Then we begin to question “Why?”  We wonder, Why did this happen to me?  The answer is simple: sometimes it takes those unexpected trials and tribulations that bring us closer to God.  After something happens, we are forced to slow down and look to the Father.  Now we realize that we need God.  We are no longer self sufficient but human.
