Why Alter the King James Version

I have ran across some blog post where people are quoting different versions of the Bible and I noticed some major differences in them.  One person’s version had totally changed a story to suit their belief system.  So I decided to write a little post about this.  The King James Version is a word-for-word version which most accurately follow the Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek texts. Other manuscripts discovered since the King James Version was translated show it to be extremely reliable. For instance, when the King James Version is compared with what was found in the Dead Sea Scrolls, “the King James Bible is 98.33 percent pure (Good News Magazine).  According to the Good News Magazine, About 98 percent of the known Greek manuscripts agree with the basic text of the King James Bible. The post says that the Scripture has been preserved and transmitted over the centuries remarkably well.

The King James Bible translation was done by 47 scholars, all of whom were members of the Church of England. In common with most other translations of the period, the New Testament was translated from Greek, the Old Testament was translated from Hebrew and Aramaic text (Wikipedia). The King James Version is an English translation of the Christian Bible for the Church of England begun in 1604 and completed in 1611.

I have noticed that today some don’t want to obey the truth of God’s word and want to get a new version that will suit their beliefs. The Bible is the preserved and divine word of God and should not be altered to suit one class of people. Psalms 12:6,7 says, The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. 2 Peter 1:21 says, For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. 2 Timothy 3:16 says, All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.

I am sure that the Bible is not a book that one should alter in order to change God’s laws. Just because one does not like what is written therein, doesn’t give them the right to change it or to delete certain scriptures. I have found that different versions seem to delete scriptures that mention Jesus as the son of God or other topics they don’t agree with. For example the NIV deletes Mark 11:26, Acts 8:37, 1 John 5:7 and Romans 16:24, etc… Other examples of altered scripture is with ‘The deity of Christ’. It is watered down in ACTS 3:13,26; ACTS 4:27,30 in the New King James Version, the New International Version and New American Standard Version, where Jesus is called God’s “servant” instead of God’s “Son” (cai.org). There are man more altered and deleted scripture in new Bible versions to name. I suggest sticking to a version that has withstood the test of time.

The Bible should not be changed to adjust to culture, the wealthy or to sinners. It was written to bring sinners to repentance. Some of these new versions were written to change sin into something acceptable by our society. Look at the ones who wrote these altered translations. They were written to be non confronting and adapting to be convenient for any lifestyle including homosexuality.

Revelation 22:18,19 says, “For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.”

Schoolmaster Brings Repentance

The Word of God hath power because it leads us to the gospel of Christ, which is the power of God unto salvation. In God’s Holy Word, we read how God wrote commandments and laws for us to go by.  He presented the law to Moses first on Mount Sinai, so that the Israelites would know what sin is.  God’s law is our schoolmaster to bring us to Christ.  Without the law of God, we would not know what God expects from us. The law is what shows man the actual condition he is in.  It shows him that without forgiveness from God, he would deserve death.  When Adam and Even took of the fruit of the tree that God told them not to eat, sin entered the world. God told Adam and Eve that because of their sin, they would one day die. Romans 5:12 says, “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:”

To know what God expects from us, we should read his word.  I suggest reading (The Ten Commandments) Exodus 20.  Then move out from there.  If you want to know what God thinks about something, I suggest you reading your Bible.  One topic that many seem to question is homosexuality.  If you want to know what God thinks read Leviticus 20:13, the Bible says, “ If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.” Or Ephesians 5:31, It says, “For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.” Jeremiah 29:6 says, “ Take ye wives, and beget sons and daughters; and take wives for your sons, and give your daughters to husbands, that they may bear sons and daughters; that ye may be increased there, and not diminished.” 

Another topic that many seem to question is Adultery and Fornication.  Exodus 20:14 says, “Thou shalt not commit adultery.” Mark 7:21-23 says, “ For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.”

Today rebellion is more common amongst those that claim they know God.  They have the attitude, “I believe in God so he will not punish me.  It doesn’t matter that I drink alcohol or sleep around because I know God will forgive me anyway.”  If you are one that thinks that he can live in this fashion and all will be forgiven, God says in 1 Corinthians 6:9,10  “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.”  Don’t let Satan deceive you in believing a lie.  God expects his people to live holy and to be separate from the world.  Satan has blinded the eyes of man where they think that such abominations are overlooked by God.  They try to tell you to accept man as he is or you will be judged.  They are sadly mistaken because God will not overlook such evil acts. If you continue is sin, God will judge you and you will perish.

The only answer to sin is death, but Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”  Romans 6:11,12 says, “Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.” Colossians 3:5 says, “Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry.”  That means to put them away and not do again.

With the Schoolmaster, we know that years ago God caused plagues to come upon Egypt. One plagues was that the firstborn in the land of Egypt.  God told the Israelites that they could sacrifice a Lamb without spot or blemish and smear the blood upon their doorpost at a certain time. During Passover, if they had the blood on their doorpost, their firstborn would be spared. (Exodus 12:1-13). So the Israelites did as God commanded and none of their people were killed.

Then when the Israelites were freed from Egypt, God told them to continue this ordinance throughout their generations (Exodus 12:14 and Leviticus 17:11). He often reminded Moses and his people of this ordinance and told them that the blood was an atonement for the soul. So the Israelites carried out this ordinance for many years. Then God sent a lamb, which was Jesus Christ, as the atonement for sin. 1 Peter 1:19 says that we are redeemed by “the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.”

Why was Christ able to die for our sins?  He was able to be the sacrifice because he was without blemish; he was without sin (1 Peter 1:19, Hebrews 4:14,15 and Hebrews 7:26). God said that without shedding of blood is no remission of sins (Hebrews 9:22.) His blood was able to cover the sins of many (Hebrews 9:28, Hebrews 10:10-12, 1 John 2:2). Christ died on a cross for the world’s sins and arose from the grave after three days (1 Corinthians 15:3,4).

So if you don’t read the Bible or the laws of God then how are you to know what God expects from you.  The Law is needed to bring us to repentance unto salvation.

Colossians 2:8-Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

Where 2 or 3 are Gathered

jesus2Jesus loves us and cares about us.  He told his disciples that when two or three are gathered together in his name, he would be there with them.  Matthew 18:20 says, “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” The Bible tells us that nothing can separate us from the love of God.  Romans 8:38,39 says, “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”  So no matter what happens on this earth, Jesus will be with us and he will help us.

He wants us to care about him to.  He wants us to share and teach the gospel with others.  Matthew 28:20 says, “Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”  If we love Christ then we will follow what he tells us to do.  Don’t think that anything you do, Jesus doesn’t know about.  He says he is with us and he knows about things we are going through and he knows when we sin against him.

Since we know that Jesus is always with us, we should teach and share the gospel to others. We are to continue to following his commandments that he has laid out to us through his word.  A couple of people have said to me recently; “There is sin everywhere you look, sin is in everything.”  They were using this as a license to sin.  They were mocking and saying, “Well sin is everywhere.  If you look hard enough you will find sin in everything.”

My reply is: Just because sin is everywhere does not give us a license to sin.  Romans 6:1-4 says, “What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?  God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?  Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?  Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”

Jesus called us apart from sin.  If you are doing something and you discover sin is in it, than turn from it.  Yes Satan tries to blind our eyes to things and we might not see sin at first.  That is why we must pray for guidance from God.  Let him be our Shepherd and guide us into his ways.  Psalms 23:1-3 says, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.  He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.”

I tell you these things to warn you.  No one is without sin. “All have sinned and fell short of the glory of God.”  We need to follow as close to Jesus as we can.  He will help guide us to all truths.  He will guide us to his truth through his holy Bible.  He wants us to learn of him and to study his word. Psalm 119:11 says, “Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.”  The Lord has been leading me to memorize his word and I suggest you do the same.  There might come a day when the word of God may be taken from you and you will need to know scriptures in order to give an answer to those that ask of you.

How to Obtain Salvation

prayer2There are some that are seeking God that might not know how to obtain Salvation of the Lord.  I hope this post will answer a few of your questions.  There is nothing we can do that would be good enough to get us into Heaven, except accept God’s son as our Savior.  We are as filthy rags before the eyes of God (Isaiah 64:6).  Works will not make you righteous before God.  God looks for the blood covering of the Lamb of God, which is from the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross.  If righteousness were good enough, Jesus would not have died on the cross. Not by works of righteousness that which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost (Titus 3:5). We must ask Jesus for his forgiveness and for him to be our Lord.

The way to Receive Salvation is Simple.

  • First realize you are a sinner.  There is not one person on this earth that is perfect and sinless. All have sinned and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23).
  • Then Repent of your sins. All we need to do to receive forgiveness from God is to repent and ask him to forgive us. 1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
  • Call Upon Jesus.  Romans 10:13 says, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:9 says, That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Romans 10:10 says, For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Sample Prayer (Please pray from your heart)  Jesus knows your need before you ask, but you must call upon him.

Heavenly Father,

Jesus I believe you died on the cross for my sins.  I believe you arose the third day and now sit on the right side of God.  I believe you are the son of God.  I know I have sinned and I ask you to forgive me for my sins and save my soul.  I am sorry for what I have done.  Please forgive me.

In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.

God’s Record of Salvation

1 John 5:11 says, And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. 13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. 14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: 15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

1 Peter 1:3 says, Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

The Lord Will Provide

Probably everyone has experienced times that their finances become unmanageable.  What once seemed like enough money to pay your bills every month now seems as if it will not stretch until the next week.  Let me tell you that I know times get rough sometimes, and there are times when money starts to run thin.  Sometimes God might use our money situation to get our attention.  Perhaps he is teaching us a lesson about faith.  He wants us to trust in him for all our troubles, whether it is money, health or other needs.

I recall the story of how Jesus fed the multitude of 5000 with seven loaves and two fishes. You can read the story in Mark 6:41-44.  Another time, God protected his people by allowing Moses to part the Red Sea in Exodus 14.  They were able to cross on dry land.  Sometimes we see great miracles that help our faith but sometimes God allows things to come into our life that increase our faith another way.  Sometimes we might have to get down to our last dollar to see a miracle.  Sometimes we might see our Father on his deathbed not breathing to see a miracle.  It is those miracles to me that are the greatest.  They are the type that will lift you up when you are broken and cannot see the light at the end of the tunnel.  It is those miracles that occur when you see no hope in sight, that God will grab hold of you and show you who he really is.

I have been at that point where I thought there was no hope in sight.  I have been broken and humbled before the Almighty God to see how great a God he is.  Once my Father stopped breathing and the doctors had already given up on him, but God never did.  It was when we thought nothing could be done, when God showed us who was really in charge.  Another time my daughter’s health was at an ultimate low and I was grieved beyond compare.  There was nothing doctors could do, but there was something my God could do.  Don’t ever think that God isn’t in control of everything because he is.  When you think that there is no hope, there is.  See God is the hope of everything we have and everything we are.  God is an everlasting hope of life and peace.  God wants us to realize that.  That is why he allows things in our life, that we don’t understand.  It takes us to come to that low that we look up and trust in the Almighty God above.

Matthew 6:25,26 says, “Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?  Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?”

If you haven’t experienced that hope in Christ, I urge you to trust in God.  I beg you to trust in Jesus Christ, for he is peace, love, joy and everlasting life.  He can help you recover from any situation you may be in.  Trust in him today!

Grace to The Humble

rich manRecently I had a discussion with my sister while we sat in the kitchen eating dinner.  Jesus didn’t go to the proud and the rich when he was on the earth, but he went to the humble, meek and poor.  Many think that riches bring on a higher status with God but quite the opposite. Many times he rebuked those that didn’t give to the poor.  He chose his disciples among the lowly and humble.

Once a young rich man came to Jesus asking him how to receive eternal life.  Jesus went on to mention keeping the ten commandments.  The young ruler who was full of pride said, “ All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?”  Jesus said unto him, “If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.” But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions. Then said Jesus unto his disciples, “Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.”

See it wasn’t not only the riches but the pride that the man had in his heart.  First, he didn’t want to give up those things he had.  Second, Jesus seen the pride in his heart because he said to him, “If thou will be perfect, go and sell that thou hast.”  The man was bragging about all the great things he had done from his youth.  See Jesus cared more for his heart condition than his keeping of the law.

Don’t be so high minded that you think you are above someone else because you may be a doctor, teacher, rich man or even a Bible scholar.  Jesus cares for the heart of man.  James 4:10 say, “Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.” Jesus wants those that will come to him with a humble heart and praise him above all.  He doesn’t want those that need riches or a high status in life but those that realize they are NOTHING without God.  God created us and God gave us the things in this life that we have.  1 Peter 5:6 says, “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:”

Sometimes God’s children begin to be lifted up in pride.  They may say, “I drive a BMW, or a live in a mansion, or a own a business that is making millions.”  Wake up! If those things are taking you away from God.  If those things are making you lifted up in pride, then I say, “GET RID OF THEM.”  You may say that sounds harsh.  Well so be it.  I’m not saying that rich man can’t enter Heaven.  I am saying those that are lifted up in pride, God will reject.  He hates pride.  Proberbs 6:16 through 19 talks about things the Lord hates.

  • Proud look
  • lying tongue
  • those that shed innocent blood
  • an heart that deviseth wicked imaginations
  • feet that be swift in running to mischief
  • A false witness that speaketh lies
  • he that soweth discord among brethren.

Pride is: a feeling or deep pleasure or satisfaction derived from one’s own achievements, the achievements of those with whom one is closely associated, or from qualities or possessions that are widely admired; and be especially proud of a particular quality or skill.

Proverbs 29:23-A man’s pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit.

1 Timothy 3:6-Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil.

1 John 2:16-For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

Making Plans for the New Year

new year1It is that time of year that everybody begins to make plans for the New Year.  They make resolutions of things they want to accomplish during the year.  Some plan out things they want to do such as: where they want to travel to, additions they will make to their house, or they might even plan to start a new business. This time I hope you will include your plans to serve Christ.  Look at different ways you can witness, different ways you can serve others, different ways you can share the gospel.  I urge you to use those talents the Lord has given you and move ahead.  Don’t look back but look forward toward the future, but always keep in mind the Lord’s will. The Lord has a will for your life and we should always keep that in mind when we make decisions regarding our future.

Some may not realize that God has plans for his people.  He wants his people to prosper and live godly lives.  He wants to increase your finances, give you good health, and make you happy.  He has provided so many things to us that we take for granted.  He has given us children, homes, food and a lot of extras.  He gave us his only son, Jesus to die for our sins on the cross.  In return we should try to honor him and tell others about the love of God.

In this blog I try to get my readers to stop and evaluate things in their lives that they could do for the Lord.  This time of year is probably the best time to think about what you have done for the Lord in the past and what you can do for him in the future.  I know sometimes things happen that may change our plans but making plans for the future is like having a vision for the future; a vision to accomplish something great for the Lord.  It shouldn’t be a time of regret of things we didn’t do last year, but a time to reflect on things we can do this year that will bring us closer to God.  God is looking for those that want to serve him.  He knows sometimes things happen where we must change our plans of service but he waits patiently for us to resume.  He knows we are weak in the flesh and we are not able to run non stop but we must have times of rest. We must have time to recoup our thoughts, recoup our relationship with him and to purge out those things we have in our lives that are hindering our service to the Lord. Remember life is but a vapor and it will pass quickly. Don’t put off things you can do now for later. I hope you will consider God and remain humble in your plans for the future. Things you do in life matters. Everything you do should be for the glory of the Lord.

I realize that some are starting to look at the New Year with anticipation and some with uncertainty.  I want to say if you are a child of God, you have no reason to fear or to worry because the Lord will be with you and take care of you.  Lets look at the following Bible verses that tell us how much the Lord loves us.

Satan Wants to Sift you as Wheat

sp1If you think the Devil is only after the unsaved, then you have lots to learn.  Many think that if they read the Bible, the Devil will leave them alone.  Let me tell you that the closer you draw to God, the more the Devil will attack you.  If you think you are above deception from the Devil you are sadly mistaken.  I have seen people that were close to God, start to stray from the truth.  I have seen men that I greatly admired, turn from God.  I want to give you steps to ward off Satan and his snares.  You may ask why I am able to give you information, well I have been attacked on many levels lately and I want to help others as much as possible. I don’t care if you know the Bible inside and out, Satan does too.  Satan or Lucifer was an angel that became corrupted in his own ideas of pride.

No matter how strong you are in the Lord or how much you know the scriptures, Satan desires to sift you as wheat.  2 Timothy 1:7 says,  For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.  Satan wants to take away your peace and make you fear.  Psalm 18:17-20 says: “He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which hated me: for they were too strong for me.  They prevented me in the day of my calamity: but the Lord was my stay.  He brought me forth also into a large place; he delivered me, because he delighted in me. The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.  For I have kept the ways of the Lord, and have not wickedly departed from my God.

Don’t ever think that you can defeat the Devil on your own.  He is too strong for you.  He is an angel with powers.  You must rely on the Lord.  Rebuke the Devil in the name of Jesus Christ and he will flee from you. You must not fear Satan.  Fear is your enemy.  Satan will use it against you.  If something your doing is making you fear, then stop it.

Second, think of things above.  John 14:1-3 says: “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.  In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”  Jesus said he will give us a Comforter than will teach us all things.  “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”  John 14:27 says, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”  See Jesus is telling us not to be afraid again.  

Third of all,  dwelling in God will help you ward off the snares of the Devil.  John 15:5-7 says, “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.  If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.  If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.” Ask the Lord for things you need. Jesus said ye have not because ye ask not.

Fourth, cast down all imaginations that are not Godly.  2 Corinthians 10:5 says, “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.”  This means not to allow anything in your head that are wicked.  If you are dreaming about wicked things, then you need to try to decide where those thoughts are coming from.

Fifth, Walk in the Spirit.  You may wonder what this means.  Galatians 5:16 tells us to walk in the spirit and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.  Galatians 5:22 tells us what the fruits of the spirit are: “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” To walk in the Spirit means to practice things of the Spirit such as love, self control, peace, etc… Temperance is self control.  Stay away from things you shouldn’t allow yourself near. Learn forgiveness for others and love others.

Sixth thing to help you in your Christian walk is: Sow things to the Spirit.  Galatians 6:7-9 says, “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.  And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

Last of all, Put on the whole armor of God. If you want to defeat the Devil, you must put on the armor of God.  Ephesians 6:11-18 says, “Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.  Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.  Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;  And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;  Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.  And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:  Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.”

I urge you to study these verses for they will help you fight off the snares of the Devil.  Devil’s snares are everywhere, even in the churches.  Look out and be wise.  Pray for God to give you discernment.  Pray for guidance and God will direct your path.

Ye Must Be Born Again

Many today are teaching false doctrines.  They say that if you are good or you are accepting of everyone, you will get to go to Heaven.  This is not true.  The only way to go to Heaven is to receive a spiritual birth.  You must be born again. Let me tell you what this means.

John Chapter 3:1-6 tells us of a Jewish ruler named Nicodemus.  He went to Jesus by night asking Jesus questions.  Jesus said that unless a man be “born again,”  he would not get to see the kingdom of God.  The scripture reads, “There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.  Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.  Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?  Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.  That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Jesus was telling him that the only way to Heaven was to be born of the spirit, which is the spirit of God.  There is no other way to become a son of God but through a spiritual birth.  When you are born of flesh you have a fleshly birth and become a man or woman.  To be a son or daughter of God, you must receive a spiritual birth.  The only way to receive a spiritual birth is by accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.  There is no other way to Heaven.  Jesus was the son of God and anyone that receives him is welcomed into God’s family.  The Bible tells us that an atonement was necessary for the remission of sins for God to sanctify and accept you as his son (Exodus 29:33).

John the Baptist said in Matthew 3:11, “ I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire.”  He was talking about the son of God, Jesus Christ.  There are three that bear record in Heaven, God the Father, God the son (Jesus), God the Holy Spirit) 1 John 4:7.  Jesus says in John 14:15-17 , “If ye love me, keep my commandments.  And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;  Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.”  John 4:24 says, “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” 

I urge you to accept the son of God, Jesus before it is too late.  One day he will come receive his children and take them to Heaven.  If you haven’t been born again, then you will not get to see the kingdom of God.  Repent, turn from your sins and ask Jesus into your heart.  If you have decided to accept Jesus as your Savior we would like to hear from you.  Please use our Contact page for any comments are questions you might have.

Christmas- Time to Celebrate Jesus Birth

and wrapped him in swaddling clothes,

Many things happen this time of year.  Presents are bought for loved ones, many hearts are open to the poor and needy, happiness and cheer is spread to the world.  This season is usually the most anticipated holiday there is.  Many will spend time with family and friends, some will go to church, some will stay inside and enjoy time off from work.  There is one thing we must not forget this season and that is Jesus Christ the Lord.  He is the reason for the season.  His birth is the reason we celebrate this holiday.  It isn’t for presents or gatherings but to take time to celebrate the son of God.  Jesus is the one who was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, became our sin atonement and now sits on the right side of the Heavenly Father.   He loves each and every one of you.  We should give him honor and love this season that he deserves.  Make sure to tell others about how great a Savior we serve.  Hope you all have a Merry Christmas!
