Will You Be Found Worthy?

The Lord is coming to rapture his church; will you be found worthy? 1 Thessalonians 5:23 says, that if we forsake our sins and turn to Jesus, we can be found blameless, “And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”  Matthew 10:37 says, “He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.”  We must love the Lord thy God with “all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might (Deuteronomy 6:5).

Don’t be fooled, Jesus is coming soon.  Don’t let someone tell you that Jesus is not coming because his return is near. Don’t think that you will have time to repent after he comes.  You must repent now and by faith, receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior. 2 Peter 3:9 says, “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:10 says, “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.”

 1 Corinthians 6: 9,10 says, “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.”

I urge you to come to Jesus Christ and ask him to be your Lord and Savior before it is too late.  Behold today is the day, behold now is the time of Salvation. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved (Romans 10:9).

Too Smart for God

From the beginning when Eve took of the tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, man has searched for knowledge.  Eve knew that God told her not to eat of this tree but Satan deceived her into eating it anyway(Genesis 3).  Genesis 3:6 tells us that Eve took it for two reasons.  First, it was pleasant to the eyes.  Next, it was desirable to make one wise.

throne3For many years, man has sought the reason that the earth came into existence. Scientist and experts have tried to examine the earth’s surface and came up with scientific theories of why the earth is here, and how man came into existence.   They have looked for things to explain why we are here without looking to God.  The reason is not to discover the truth but to find ways to stay in existence and to be like gods on the earth.  Satan deceived Eve in the beginning and he continues to deceive today. Man continues to look for ways to receive salvation without accepting the ‘whole council of God’.  They look at part of the scriptures and leave out the ones they don’t like or agree with.

The Bible tells us “the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased (Daniel 12:4). Men want to be like gods having glory, being immortal, having powers and having great riches.  Isaiah 14 tells us that Lucifer was a fallen angel; he wanted to have his own throne above Gods.  Today Satan continues to strive to receive glory from man and has deceived men into believing that he is a good person.  Years ago men knew Satan was evil, now they believe the opposite, if they are not Christians.  God’s people know right and wrong and try to help others come to the truth by spreading the gospel.

throneMan has become vain, lustful, envious and wants to be adored.  Jeremiah 2:11 says, “Hath a nation changed their gods, which are yet no gods? but my people have changed their glory for that which doth not profit.” For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul (Matthew 16:26)? Singers, actors, celebrities and presidents have sold their souls to the devil seeking after their fame and adoration; including Katy Perry, Kanye West, Eminem, Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, Bush, Obama, Madonna, Oprah, Michael Jackson and Jay Z.

Today certain Christian denominations are turning to apostasy. They are renouncing their beliefs and listening to certain evil men that are popular with the people. They are popular with the people because they tell lies and pervert the truth to appease man. They do not want to tell the ‘whole council of God’ but a watered-down version of it. They tell man that it is okay to sin because all have sinned. God never told us that we had a license to continue in sin. He tells us that we should turn away from all appearance of evil (1 Thessalonians 5:22).

Now is the time to seek God and seek his wisdom and forsake the evil way.  Now is the time to receive the gift of his son Jesus Christ before it is too late.  Repent and pray and turn to God and he will forgive you.

Woe to Profane Preachers

In the 1800’s John Marshall, chief justice of the United States Supreme Court, wrote to President James Madison and said, “The church is too far gone ever to be redeemed.” When we examine why, we find that preachers had stopped preaching the whole Gospel of Jesus Christ, and the people were not hearing God’s Word. (Franklin Graham).  It wasn’t until later that men of God starting praying and there was a revival again in the land.

Today we look at the decline of the churches because preachers are not preaching the truth.  Their hearts are not into serving the Lord. They are preaching and leading the churches because of their own selfish reasons including filthy lucre (money).  Jim Burgen a pastor at the Flatirons Community Church has went as far as preaching at a bar and getting a tattoo.  Then he preached a sermon supporting gay rights saying, “he believes we ought to welcome gays and love them.”  The Bible never told us to do what we “think” but what God says in his word.  God set up specific commandments and ordiances in the Bible to tell us about how men ought to behave; specific laws and ordinances can be found in Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy.  If you don’t know what God thinks about something, try reading your Bible. Deuteronomy 28:14 says, “And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.”  Now concerning whether God likes tattoos lets look at Leviticus 19:28: “Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the Lord.”

A preacher should set himself apart from other men.  Ezekiel 43 talks about the men of God.  “They have even defiled my holy name by their abominations that they have committed.  Now let them put away their whoredom.”  Ezekiel 44 tells the men of God, “In that ye have brought into my sanctuary strangers, uncircumcised in heart, and uncircumcised in flesh, to be in my sanctuary, to pollute it, even my house, when ye offer my bread, the fat and the blood, and they have broken my covenant because of all your abominations. And ye have not kept the charge of mine holy things: but ye have set keepers of my charge in my sanctuary for yourselves.” Jeremiah 2:8 says, “The priests said not, Where is the Lord? and they that handle the law knew me not: the pastors also transgressed against me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal, and walked after things that do not profit.”   Jeremiah 23:1 says, “Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the Lord.”

Pastors and Preachers should be called of God (Jeremiah 3:15).  The Lord set up different men to perform certain functions of the church.  Ephesians 4:11,12 says, “And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:”  Men should not think of this position lightly, because God will punish you if you do not follow his laws and do wickedness (Jeremiah 23). 2 Timothy 4:2 says, “Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.”  Do not change your views because it is considered out of season.  God doesn’t change his commandments to serve wicked men or to appease men.

Today many are led away by false doctrines and beliefs.  News headlines lately state:

  1. The Moravian Church’s Northern Province approved a proposal to allow gays and lesbians to be ordained and to create a religious ceremony for same-sex couples.
  2. A television reality show features six megachurch ministers who claim their material wealth—including expensive cars, large mansions, and designer clothing—is a sign of God’s blessing.
  3. First “Gay Marriage” now the “Division of Israel” for the Presbyterian Church
  4. The five churchgoing members of the Alabama Criminal Court of Appeals unanimously struck down the state’s ban on sodomy on Friday, stating that Alabama’s law against sex acts between those of the same gender is unconstitutional.
  5. Muslims ‘Offended’ by Gospel Tract Distributed by Virginia Church – Bible Baptist Church

Pastor John Piper was asked on his talk show if there was a difference between film nudity versus pornography?  His sober response was, ”The closer I get to death and meeting Jesus personally face to face, and giving an account for my life and for the careless words that I have spoken, the more sure I am of my resolve never intentionally to look at a television show or a movie or a website or a magazine where I know I will see photos or films of nudity” (CharismaNews).  He knew that he would have to give account, one day, to God for his actions.

See a true man of God will study God’s word and seek what God says is right and what is wrong and will teach others to seek the truth.  He will not turn from the left nor to the right.  He knows that one day he will give account for his actions on this earth. 2 Timothy 2:15 says, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

Vigilant means: keenly alert to or heedful of trouble or danger, as while others are sleeping or unsuspicious.  He should look at things going on around him that are contrary to the word of the Lord.

Praise God for He is God

Praise God because he is God.  He is in control no matter what we think.  Praise God for his un-ending love for us, his people.  He will never leave us or forsake us.  Its easy to praise God when we are on the mountain, but God said he will be with us when we are in the valley.  He is God no matter what is going on around us.  He tells us to have faith.  Sometimes things don’t always go the way we think they should but God has a plan.

It is when we go through the valleys that we look toward God.  We depend upon him when we think that we have no hope because he gives us that hope.  He doesn’t want any of his people to suffer, he wants to give them peace and happiness.  If you have accepted Christ, he has given you all things to enjoy  (1 Timothy 6:17).

God deserves praise from his saints because he called us out from our unrighteousness. If we have accepted Christ as our savior, we are now part of his family. He has made us heirs of God —joint heirs with Christ (Romans 8:17). “Ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people, that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light,” 1 Peter 2:9.

God deserves your praise and expects you to worship him. Psalm 66:1,2 says, “Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands. Sing forth the honour of his name: Make his praise glorious.” We should praise the Lord for his mercy and for his righteousness. Give thanks for the grace that he has given us. Thank the Lord through song for his wonderful gift of his beloved son, Jesus. Psalm 67:3 says, “Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.”

There is Comfort in Hope

With so many things going on around us it is easy to become discouraged. We see our country going through a dramatic change that is not for the better. Men are deceived into believing a lie that the government is looking out for the best interest of everyone. Christian believers know that there is going to be a tribulation upon this earth that many men will die and the earth as we know it will drastically come to a halt. Soon God will gather together all men of the earth to a great battle in the last days and the wicked shall perish. We must have hope and faith in Christ, for without it we have nothing. Psalm 119:81 says, “My soul fainteth for thy salvation: but I hope in thy word.” God wants us to have courage and strength to move forward no matter what comes our way. Psalm 31:24 says, “Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord.”

Even though we look at everything that once seemed like a place of comfort, turning into a time of distress, God’s people will prevail. It is easy to become grieved and heart-broken for those that neglect a perfect salvation that is free to all those that claim it. We know that what God has promised, he will do. Romans 4:21 says, “And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.” We know that God is a just God and his judgments are righteous. Psalm 19:9 says, “The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.”

As I look at Queen Esther in her battles upon this earth, she could have easily become discouraged. Her people refused to bow down and worship Haman; therefore he went to the king to urge him to destroy the Jews, because they refused to honor him.  They obeyed not the laws of the kingdom; therefore they were considered a diverse and separate people. One day Esther found favor in sight of King Ahasuerus and he ordered Haman to be hanged. This story shows that no matter what evil comes upon God’s people, and we stand for what is right, he will destroy our enemies from the face of the earth.

The Sanctity of Marriage

When a couple decides to get married, they become one flesh according to God. Ephesians 5:31 says, “For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.”  God tells us that they should be committed to each other because one day they will be heirs together in Heaven.  1 Peter 3:7 says, “Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.”

Marriage is not only a joyous occasion but a lifetime commitment.  It shouldn’t be taken lightly.  In 1 Corinthians 13 we learn that love bears all things.  Love suffers long and is kind, not easily provoked or puffed up.  Love bears all things and endures all things.  A man or woman who loves one another isn’t concerned about their own desires but the needs of each other.  They might endure a great deal but they must forgive one another as Christ forgives us.

Marriage was first talked about in Genesis 2:24.  “And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.  Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.”  Notice how it says a man will leave his father and mother and cleave unto his wife.  It doesn’t say a man with man or a woman with woman.  There are many controversies taking place today regarding the sanctity of marriage.  First lets define what sanctity means.  It is defined as holiness, saintliness, or godliness. Therefore it is not defined as lust, ungodliness or a certain way of life.  Never before in the Bible did God say that we were to adjust to the current world.  God says he changes not (Malachi 3:6).

Hebrews 13:4 says, “Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.”  So we know that it is more honorable to get married than to fornicate.  God tells us in Matthew Chapter 15 that fornication defiles a man.  Any sin man must fight against. It is not always easy and God allows some grace to us, but we must not continue in sin.  Roman 6:1,2 says God forbids us to continue in sin.

In Leviticus 20:13, the Bible says that a man should not be with another man in the same way he is with a woman.  “ If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.”  This clearly shows that it is an abomination.  There is nowhere in the Bible that it says that a man marries another man. 

God tells us that a woman should be under subjection to her husband; and a man should love his wife like Christ loves the church.  Ephesians 5:24,25 says, “ Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it.”

God tells his people in Jeremiah 29:6 to “ Take ye wives, and beget sons and daughters; and take wives for your sons, and give your daughters to husbands, that they may bear sons and daughters; that ye may be increased there, and not diminished.”  He clearly says that a man is to be with a woman so that they can have children.  Another scripture is in Genesis 1:28, God told male and female to be fruitful and multiple and replenish the earth (bear children).

A man or woman shouldn’t commit adultery for this is one of God’s ten commandments. Exodus 20:14, “Thou shalt not commit adultery.”  1 Corinthians 7 talks about how a man and woman are bound under a law to each other. The wife is bound to her husband including in their personal relationship.  They are not to defraud each other except for fasting and prayer.   If one dies than they are freed from the law to remarry another.  If they separate from each other, they are not to remarry.  There is one exception, the Bible says if a man puts away his wife except for adultery causes her to commit adultery and if he remarries commits adultery himself (Matthew 19).

The Church- Believers in Christ

The church is not only a building of God but is the community of believers in Christ. God wants us to have fellowship with other believers. It helps us to stay focused on what we should do. Jesus gave his life for the church.  Acts 20:28 said that he purchase the church with his own blood.  This shows how much Jesus cared for the church.  By going to church it feeds our spiritual needs instead of our fleshly needs. 1 Corinthians 2:13 says, “Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.”  Our fellowship should not only be with God but other believers.  “That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ,” 1 John 1:3. When Jesus left his disciples on the earth, they continued with fellowship and breaking bread —eating together (Acts 2:42).

When we attend a Bible believing church, we have fellowship with other believers which can encourage and instruct us about Christ.  Especially if you are a new believer in Christ, you need to go to church and be taught about Christ. The Bible tells us in Romans 10:14,15 that we can learn about God by listening to a preacher. “How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!” Acts 20:28 says for preacher to, “Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

God deserves praise from his saints because he called us out from our unrighteousness. If we have accepted Christ as our savior, we are now part of his family. He has made us heirs of God —joint heirs with Christ (Romans 8:17). “Ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people, that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light,” (1 Peter 2:9).  If you have strayed from the church, now is the time to go back to it.

The Prodigal Son

The parable of the Prodigal Son is a well known story about two sons.  One son asked for his inheritance from his father.  When he received his money, he went to a far country and wasted his substance with riotous living.  When a famine came in, he began to be in need.  He started feeding swine for a living and sometimes ate of the husks of the swine.  Then he remembered his father and thought to himself, I will return to my father and repent by saying, “I have sinned against heaven, and before thee, And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants.”  So the son returned to the Father and when his father seen him coming, ran to his son, having compassion, and kissed him because he loved him.  Then, he told his servants to prepare a meal because of his son’s return.  The other son became jealous and envious and the father asked him what was wrong.  The son went on to ask why his father killed the fatted calf because his brother had rebelled, by leaving home and living a riotous life with harlots. The father replied,  “Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine. It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.”

What joy, love and compassion that this father had for his wayward son. He forgave his son for all that he had done. This father is like our Heavenly Father. God waits patiently, with loving arms and forgiveness when we return to him with humble hearts. He is longsuffering to us and his hope is that none of us would perish but come to him in repentance. Exodus 34:6 says, “And the Lord passed by before him, and proclaimed, The Lord, The Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth.”

It is easy to get used to having the love and rewards of the Heavenly Father, that we don’t realize that we should love others enough to share the gospel of Christ. We should want to help others receive God’s forgiveness and grace. 2 Peter 3:9 says, “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”

Coming Kingdom of Christ

The Lord Jesus Christ, who is the Seed of David, will restore his kingdom on this earth.  In Matthew 1 we learn about the genealogy of Jesus and how he was the descendant of King David.  In Luke 1:31-33, Mary was told that she would bring forth a son and that he would reign over the house of Jacob forever.  The text reads, “And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.” 

In Jesus ancestry line, we know that Jesus was a descendant of Abraham, Jacob and later David. Matthew Chapter 1 says, “Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob.” We know that God changed Jacob’s name to Israel (Genesis 32:28).  This is why Israel is considered the Holy land of Christ.  We know that this land was promised to the children of God when they escaped Pharoah and the land of Egypt (Exodus 3:8).

The prophet Daniel saw visions regarding the Lord’s kingdom in the last days.  Daniel 7:13,14 says, “I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.”

When Jesus was born, the Scribes and Pharisees, the religious leaders were willing to have a king if that did not involve repentance and a change of heart. Actually they were ungodly and wicked; they were Jews outwardly but not inwardly. When Jesus pressed continually the command to repent and denounced their hypocrisy, they began to hate Him and rejected him as the Saviour.  They began to seek council to destroy him (Matthew 12:14).  They led him to Pilate to be judged and then condemned to die.  Pilate asked him if he was the King of Jews.  Jesus said that now his kingdom was not of this world, meaning that it would soon be.   John 18:36, “Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.” Matthew 6:10 says that the Lord’s kingdom is in Heaven but will one day be on this earth.  “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.”

God tells us through his word in Revelation 20:4 that the “saints” or the children of God will reign with Christ for a thousand years.  In Daniel 7:18,22, the Bible says, “But the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever. Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.”

God tells us that we, as saints, should look for his return and to prepare our hearts and minds to remain in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). 1 Corinthians 6:2 says,”Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?” 2 Peter 1:10,11 says, “Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:  For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.”

To prepare our hearts and minds for his return, we should practice godliness, and to crucify our flesh, by living righteously. Titus 2:12,13 says, “Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.”  1 Timothy 6:11,12 says, “But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.”

Therefore wait ye upon me, saith the Lord, until the day that I rise up to the prey: for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them mine indignation, even all my fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy.

Zephaniah 3:9-For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of the Lord, to serve him with one consent.

Zephaniah 3:17,19-The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing. At that time will I bring you again, even in the time that I gather you: for I will make you a name and a praise among all people of the earth, when I turn back your captivity before your eyes, saith the Lord.

Teaching Children Respect

 

respectI remember growing in a time when I respected my parents and did what I was told without question.  I knew if I didn’t respect my parents, I got a whipping or had to stand in the corner or had to write sentences.  I remember one time having to write one thousand sentences because there was something I didn’t put up in my room.  I don’t remember exactly what it was that I forget to put in my room, but the sentence was such:  “Everything has a place and everything is to be put in its place.  I wasn’t allowed to do anything until the sentences were finished.  I remember my fingers hurting and it seemed to take several hours to write them.

The point is that my parents taught me how to respect them and their authority.  My dad had been a marine and he believed in respect.  I wasn’t able to go outside and play without his permission.  I remember once, My sisters and I were down the street playing football with some other kids in the neighborhood; some were boys.  My dad walked down the street where we were bringing his belt in hand.  Talking about embarrassment and learning to not ever do that again.

Today parents want their children to be their friend but to respect them at the same time.  It is not possible for your children to be your friend and respect you because the first time you scold them or punish them, there goes the friendship.  Start at an early age and your kids will grow up respecting you.  I have two children that have pushed my buttons many times, but I have used some of the same methods that my father used on me.

Right now I have my daughter at the table writing an essay on who she is compared to God.  She is fifteen and has everything you can think of, from televisions to a Kindle, clothes, phones, etc… Many times those things have been taken away because I am trying to instill a sense of respect to her.  If she can’t respect me, how is she going to respect God or his authority.  Parents now is the time to start teaching your children the way they should act, before it is too late.  When they are older they will not learn how to respect others if you don’t teach them, therefore dishonoring all authority.  Don’t allow them to talk back to you in disrespect.  Don’t allow them to tell you no, when you tell them to do something.  Most important, take them to church.  Respect begins with respecting God and his authority.  Don’t neglect them either, listen to them when they are talking to you.  Show them love and respect and they will show it back to you.  See the following scriptures related to children.
