We should show compassion or love for others like Jesus did.

Yesterday on my way to work, I sat at a red-light that seemed to take forever to change. I remember seeing the light start to change and then change back to red. I thought to myself, “Did that just happen? Is God trying to slow me down?” I know that my God is able to protect me no matter what. He has slowed me down before when I was driving, to keep me out of a wreck. Once I was stopped at a stop sign and the traffic kept coming and coming. A street that was never so busy was suddenly flooded by drivers. That day, a wreck happened right in front of me and I knew that if I was a few seconds earlier, I would have been in that wreck.
So yesterday when I was driving, I tried to be cautious and drive as safely as possible, trying to do the speed limit. After crossing over the river bridge, I was on my way toward one of the busiest roads near my hometown. As I was driving along, there appeared a car in front of me crossing the median over into my lane. I remember how everything seemed to zoom in as if I was watching a movie. I slowed down as quickly as possible, hoping no one was going to slam me from behind. As I looked in my rear view mirror, cars were a long way back. That was a miracle in itself because this road was very busy usually.
When I turned around I seen this car suddenly flip over in front of me and land on the right side of the road. It landed on its wheels but the windshield was smashed completely. So I quickly pulled over to the right side of the road just in front of this car. I jumped out to see if I could help the people in the car. I saw that this car was inches from a hill. If the car would have went over anymore, it would have flipped down the hill. I still remember every single time the car flipped from one side to the other as if I was watching in slow motion.
The driver was alive but in shock. The front passenger was more responsive but confused. The three kids in the back were uninjured but crying and wanting out of the car. My first instinct was to keep them safe. This road was going to become very dangerous and busy and I wanted to keep the kids safe, but afraid the car was going to slide on down the hill. Two more guys pulled over to help. One called the ambulance and the other tried to help me check on everyone. The driver and passenger doors were jammed shut with the drivers window completely smashed and folded down. There didn’t seem to be any observable injuries but the driver said her head hurt. Finally the guy opened the back door and let the kids out so we could make sure they were safe, out of the car. They were walking around as if they hadn’t been in an accident, but scared.
After a few minutes, the family of this lady came driving back. They were all headed to a water park and drove three cars. The family jumped out screaming and crying and grabbing the children and running back to their car. Then they finally came back with the kids in hand. I tried to comfort the family as much as possible, trying to keep them from panicking and scaring the children worse. Usually I do not take control of any situation but this time someone had too. The family was in no shape no care for anyone. I tried to watch the children and attend to the driver and passenger as best as possible, making sure they were breathing, and as still as possible. I thought to myself all I can do at this moment is pray and console the family; showing some compassion as we waited for the ambulance to arrive. I wanted them to know that I was not leaving until help arrived and that I was praying for them.
Looking back at the circumstance I realize it was not the driver, not me, not anyone that helped that family but God. He is the only one who can protect us in any situation. We think we control things in this life but it is not us, but our Heavenly Father. I know he slowed that car down so it did not hit me. I know that he slowed the car from rolling over too hard, because it could have been much worse. I know that I was there for a reason if nothing else but to show love to these complete strangers. It didn’t matter who they were. All that mattered was they were God’s children and he was looking out for them. That day my heart grieved for them because I know that this is something they will never forget. I was only thankful that God allowed me to be there that day for them. I hope God continues to use me for his service. Most of all I want to tell others what a great God we serve, because he is the one who truly watches over us. He is the one who gives us that love we need, even if it is through complete strangers. I ask you to show love for someone today. If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Savior, I ask you to consider how much he cares about you. He can comfort you, protect you and help you in any situation that you face in this life. Please remember God is in control, not us.
Sadly I see some attending church, saying a quick prayer, singing in a choir, and then going on with their lives as if God isn’t present in their lives. Belief is so much more than attending church once or twice a week; it should be incorporated into every minute, every second of your waking hours. The definition of belief is: an acceptance that a statement is true or that something exists; something one accepts as true or real; a firmly held opinion or conviction; trust, faith, or confidence in someone or something.
To have a true belief in God is to be in complete obedience to him, to have complete trust and faith that he exist and that he is in control of not a small part of our lives but in everything. To have a true belief in God we must completely surrender to him as our Lord, Savior, Creator and Master. If you truly believe that God exist and that he will take care of you then you must never doubt his love for you. If you truly believe you would never doubt that he could handle things in your life that seem so big for you, because you would know that all things are merely minuscule to God. Remember that God created the Heaven and the Earth. Now take time to meditate on that. God created everything that you see, that you hear, that you feel. How amazing! He not only made everything but he can command the earth to move or the wind to blow. He can control the sea and the clouds.
Recently I was asked to prove God to someone that doesn’t believe and I have to ask, “Where did his belief fail?” Did his parents ever teach him about God or did they believe? Someone that truly believes in God would want their loved ones to accept Christ as their Lord and Savior, because of their love for them. They would dedicate their time to telling others that Jesus saves.
I see how people are falling away, just as the Lord said they would (2 Thessalonians 2:3). They want to change the Bible into words that fit their lifestyle. They will even curse you if you tell them scripture. They will even argue with what you said, when all you did is post scripture. I wrote the scripture about how the Lord changes not…. Malachi 3:6. Then the person went on to try to explain that God changes but differently. We need to be careful what we say about Gods word.
I must tell you that from an early age, I had some belief in God which is much smaller to what I believe in now. My belief has grown a lot by the time that I have spent in prayer and studying God’s word, etc… If you want to have more faith and belief in God you must dedicate more time to him. He will show you things that you would have never thought of. He will show you things that can increase your faith and belief in him. He can help you have so much faith that you don’t care what others say about you, because you know that God is there with you. So my question is how much do you believe?
If you are wanting to have more faith and belief in God but need some questions answered, or you would like someone to pray for you, use our contact us page. Increasing your faith and belief in God will help you in so many ways. It can give you joy and peace that surpasses all understanding. Trust me you will not be sorry you decided to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior.

Last Sunday I awoke with the song, ‘Canaanland is Just in Sight’ on my mind. So I got up to study for my Sunday School lesson and that is when I decided to teach about how the Israelites when they were led from Egypt by Moses toward Canaan. God prepared them a land of milk and honey, which he called The promise land. He prepared the land for them. All but a couple never made it because of their rebellion and complaining. They were so close but instead wondered around the wilderness for forty years; never able to see it. There were two that made it over, because of their faith and trust in God. God told Moses to choose a man from every tribe to go and search the land out. All but Caleb came back with an evil report. They were afraid to go in and possess the land. See they didn’t trust in God to deliver them.
Today I look at how the story applies to us. I believe we are closer to reaching the Promise Land (Heaven) than ever before. I believe the Lord is waiting to deliver us and carry his people home to be with him. But, he is only going to gather those that trust in him. He can deliver anyone that puts their trust in him. The promise land is just in sight! It is flowing with milk and honey and it preserved for us. John 14:2,3 says, “In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” Are we going reach out and claim it?
Song: Moses led God’s children forty years he led them,
Through the cold and through the night;
Tho they said, “Let’s turn back”, Moses said, “Keep goin’,
Canaanland is just in sight.”
And there will be no sorrow there in that tomorrow,
We will be there by and by;
Milk and honey flowing there is where I’m going,
Canaanland is just in sight.
Now though we walk thru valleys, ‘Tho we climb high mountains,
We can not give up the fight;
We must be like Moses, we must keep on going;
Canaanland is just in sight.
And there will be no sorrow there in that tomorrow,
We will be there by and by;
Milk and honey flowing there is where I’m going,
Canaanland is just in sight.
And Canaanland is just in sight!
Growing up the youngest of three older sisters, I often felt a little overlooked. The best part of my childhood was when I spent time outside playing in the woods. Not once during I ever feel afraid. Now believe me there were times that I could have easily been injured, very badly, but wasn’t. I remember climbing up steep bluffs without a rope, riding four wheelers at top speed, crawling around in caves, building forts in the woods; and this was before my teen years. I recall one time my cousin was riding me on a four wheeler and we hit a sharp turn in the road. Since the road was gravel we slid and he must have slammed on his breaks. I don’t remember what happened at first, until I woke up laying on a pile of brush. We had landed safely on a pile of cut tree limbs, full of leaves, so we were safe. Now we must have flipped several times until we landed on this brush. Now this part of the road we were on wasn’t traveled often. People never cut trees down from this area, because it was way out in the middle of nowhere. Only people that lived on that part of the mountain knew about the road, but they often avoided it, and went the other way. I stand in awe about how we could have easily broken our necks, but I know we were protected by our Heavenly Father.
As I sit here and ponder this simple question, I look to the greatest Father that anyone could ever have. He sets the best example for all to see. Lets just look at some of the qualities of our Heavenly Father and what that teaches us.
Happy Fathers Day to all Fathers; May you have a blessed and joyous day!

When you are at a low in your life and need help, you can depend upon God. He said he will never leave us or forsake us. He can help you with any trials or sorrow you may be facing. Nothing happens in this life that God does not know about. Sometimes God allows things to happen to us or people we love so that we will come to him. I know the darkest part of my life when I felt all alone, Jesus was there to pick me up and show me the correct path to take. The best place in God’s word to teach you about trusting in God is to read Hebrews Chapter 11. It is a chapter of faith. Hebrews 11:1-3 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
No matter what trials that you have had to overcome, I can tell you others have overcome more. Read the book of Job. Job lost everything he had —covered with diseases. In the end, God restored to Job more than he had in the beginning because he trusted in him. Romans 5:1-5 says, Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us
If you are truly going to trust in God, you must walk by faith. 2 Corinthians 5:7 says, For we walk by faith, not by sight: If you only have faith when everything is going right, than where is your faith? God gives us his Holy Spirit to comfort us and help us when we are troubled in this life. John 14:26,27 says, But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Everything that happens to you in your life adds to the person you are. God prepares us to be witnesses to the world by helping us in our times of need. He builds to our faith through helping us overcome trials and tribulations. During that trial, you may feel that there is no hope; that you are all alone. Trust me, God is with you; he said he would never leave you or forsake you. Seek him out earnestly in prayer and he will help you overcome that time in your life. God knows what you need before you pray, but is waiting on you to ask him. The more you pray, the closer you will be to God. I have learned that when something goes wrong, stop and pray. Prayer helps you to defeat anything, including Satan. To trust God, we must have faith. Faith is important for prayers to be answered. Believe that he is able to do all things and that he will help you willingly if only we would ask him to.
Once we hand our cares to Father completely, then he will perform his work —-his miracle. Sometime his will is not our will. Sometimes his will is to take his children home to be with him. We must trust that he cares about us and is able to perform all miracles and that he has a purpose for what he does. He knows what he is doing.
Originally this post was Refining us into his image. This is a testimony I shared a year ago but want to reshare it so in hopes it might help someone. First of all I wanted to share that as a Christian I fell from God’s grace and I fell hard. I attended a Bible believing church for many years, taught Sunday school, read my Bible, studied my Bible and thought I was just where I needed to be. Oh boy, that is where I got into such a terrible mess. I thought I couldn’t fall. I thought only someone that isn’t a real Christian could fall. Thats when I seen how far I could fall. I was at a breaking point in my life where I couldn’t seen a clear way out. I felt abandoned by God; the reason was because Satan had taken such a strong hold of me that I couldn’t see clearly. I knew I was in trouble but didn’t know how I got there. Now I do. I wanted to get as close to God as possible but Satan attacked me on every side. Don’t ever ever think you are above falling. Satan has been around a long time and he knows where he can creep in and confuse you. Pray and keep praying that God would protect you and your family, and that he would keep you on the strait and narrow way. Pray that he keeps your mind safely under his protection. Times are changing and more and more people seem to be turning from their beliefs and accepting things that are not Godly. We really need to pray for our nation to turn back toward God.
Satan didn’t want me to release this post and tried to work against me publishing it so trust me, it needs to be said. Please carefully read the following post!
I will be completely honest with you for I feel that you need to know this. Over the past few months I have gone through an emotional roller coaster. I thought I was at the top of the mountain and there was nothing that could bring me down. I thought I was the closest to God that I could get and I wasn’t going to let anything get in the way. That is when I was brought to my lowest; a time that I do not ever want to relive. A time that I was emotionally broken into; let me explain. I thought that nothing would ever get in the way of my Christian walk; I thought I had the…

Today we look at the decline of the churches because preachers are not preaching the truth. I have posted this same blog post two years ago; I see more of what churches are allowing into their congregation and principles that is ungodly. Their hearts are not into serving the Lord but in gaining numbers and to be politically correct. They are preaching and leading the churches because of their own selfish reasons including filthy lucre (money). Whole denominations are meeting together to decide if they want to rethink their beliefs or principles because of what others are saying. The Bible never told us to do what we “think” but what God says in his word. God set up specific commandments and ordinances in the Bible to tell us about how men ought to behave; specific laws and ordinances can be found in Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy. If you don’t know what God thinks about something, try reading your Bible. Deuteronomy 28:14 says, “And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.”
A preacher should set himself apart from other men. Ezekiel 43 talks about the men of God. “They have even defiled my holy name by their abominations that they have committed. Now let them put away their whoredom.” Ezekiel 44 tells the men of God, “In that ye have brought into my sanctuary strangers, uncircumcised in heart, and uncircumcised in flesh, to be in my sanctuary, to pollute it, even my house, when ye offer my bread, the fat and the blood, and they have broken my covenant because of all your abominations. And ye have not kept the charge of mine holy things: but ye have set keepers of my charge in my sanctuary for yourselves.” Jeremiah 2:8 says, “The priests said not, Where is the Lord? and they that handle the law knew me not: the pastors also transgressed against me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal, and walked after things that do not profit.” Jeremiah 23:1 says, “Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the Lord.”
Pastors and Preachers should be called of God (Jeremiah 3:15). The Lord set up different men to perform certain functions of the church. Ephesians 4:11,12 says, “And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:” Men should not think of this position lightly, because God will punish you if you do not follow his laws and do wickedness (Jeremiah 23). 2 Timothy 4:2 says, “Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.” Do not change your views because it is considered out of season. God doesn’t change his commandments to serve wicked men or to appease men. If God says it is an abomination, he will not change his mind of the subject. It is still an abomination in his eyes.
Pastor John Piper was asked on his talk show if there was a difference between film nudity versus pornography? His sober response was, ”The closer I get to death and meeting Jesus personally face to face, and giving an account for my life and for the careless words that I have spoken, the more sure I am of my resolve never intentionally to look at a television show or a movie or a website or a magazine where I know I will see photos or films of nudity” (CharismaNews). He knew that he would have to give account, one day, to God for his actions.
See a true man of God will study God’s word and seek what God says is right and what is wrong and will teach others to seek the truth. He will not turn from the left nor to the right. He knows that one day he will give account for his actions on this earth. 2 Timothy 2:15 says, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

Jeremiah 23:14- I have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem an horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies: they strengthen also the hands of evildoers, that none doth return from his wickedness; they are all of them unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah.

1 Peter 5:8- Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
Leviticus 18:22,23- Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion.

Genesis 4:9 says: And the Lord said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother’s keeper? The Lord was asking Cain what happened to his brother Abel. The Lord knew what happened but wanted to hear the response from Cain. Cain killed his brother and the Lord knew that he did. Cain had a smart mouthed response to the Lord; Am I my brother’s keeper?
As I read this text and see how it applies today, I notice that this text has different meaning when applied today. If the Lord asked you to account for someone today, would you have the same response……… Am I my brother’s keeper?
After reading a few scripture to see what God thought about this, I see where God expects us to help our brothers;
Galatians 6:1-10 says, “Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. For every man shall bear his own burden. Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things. Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.” Ephesians 6:18 says, “Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.”
This tells me that we are to care enough to help our brothers. You may ask, Who is my brother? Matthew 12:50 says, “For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.” Matthew 19:19 says, “Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.” Don’t be afraid to tell someone when they are sinning. Tell others about Jesus and what Jesus expects from our lives.
