Lesson on Love

The best lesson on Love is what Jesus did for us on the cross. Jesus is the son of God. He gave his life freely on a cross so that we could receive eternal life. So what does love mean to you? Love is an outward show to others, through kindness, action, emotion.

Examples of love

  • Grace- Unmerited favor –loving kindness and tender care for others,
  • showing emotion- cry when someone is hurting,
  • action- how you feel, care for someone, hugging someone
  • Active Compassion: Love is demonstrated through actions, not just feelings.
  • Forgiveness: God’s love is unconditional, and we are called to forgive others.
  • Value of Every Individual: Every person matters to God, and we should reflect that in our care for others.
  • Joy in Restoration: God rejoices when the lost are found, encouraging believers to celebrate redemption and reconciliation.
  • Consolation- Act of providing comfort, solace, relief to someone experiencing grief; emotional support or actions that alleviate suffering- God is with us through trials and tribulations 2 Corinth 1:3-7

Fruit of the Spirit- is Love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance  Galatians 5:22—23

  • Hug- conveys support, empathy, understanding; a deep level of nonverbal communication. Can help strengthen our relationships and foster a sense of belongings
  • Kiss- is used to express sincerity, faith, love, good friendship, respectful greeting

Romans 16:16, 1 Peter 5:14

  • Prioritizing each others happiness
  • Being a friend to someone- leads to a feeling of being home and growing together, a person is able to share true thoughts and feelings.

Other signs of love – is showing mutual support, respect, deep acceptance, open and honest communication.

1 Peter 4:8,9- Charity shall cover a multitude of sins

About Tracy K

I am a born again believer who has taught Sunday School, Women's Meetings and written blogs and books for the purpose of the ministry. My sole purpose is to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. I believe Jesus, the son of God, died on a cross for the sins of the whole world. I believe he arose after three days and now sits on the right side of God in Heaven. I believe Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation. Without Jesus, there is no remissions of sins:
